A crime opera set in the 1930s in the Lower Saxon town of Elsfleth. Telephone operator Jesko Holm is constantly mocked for his unusual career choice. Together with his colleagues at the telephone exchange, he begins eavesdropping on conversations and witnesses a murder confession. But someone else has already been convicted for the crime. The opera was performed in both German and Low German (Plattdeutsch).
Why This Matters
The first Low German crime opera in the region and the founding project of Forum Neue Kunst.
