seit 46 Jahren aktiv im nicht-professionellen Gitarre-Spiel (v. a. im klassisch); umfangreiche Ensemble- und Auftrittserfahrung; permanente Begeisterung für Oper und Schauspiel

Bisherige Tätigkeiten und Projekte:

Seit 2019 Statist in verschiedenen Opern- und Schauspielproduktionen am Oldenburgischen Staatstheater; langjähriger Vorsitzender des ‚Fördervereins Haus des Hörens e. V.’ im HörZentrum Oldenburg (Konzerte, zumeist klassische Ensembles); umfassendes Wissen in Bezug auf das Management von Kulturveranstaltungen (zuletzt Open-Air-Klassik-Garten-Konzert im Juli 2020) 
Funktion im Projekt: Mitkoordination und -organisation; Kosten- und Finanzplanung; Fördermitteleinwerbung; Vernetzung in Kultur, Verwaltung, Wirtschaft und Marketing

Bezug zu Oldenburg:

Roland Hentschel hat von 60 Jahren nur 15 Jahre ortsfern gelebt (Studium, wiss. MA) und fühlt sich in der Region stark verwurzelt. Er ist ehem. Bankkaufmann (Bremer Landesbank) und seit 25 Jahren hauptamtlicher Wirtschaftsförderer und stv. Leiter in der Stadt Oldenburg sowie Leiter der Regionalen Zusammenarbeit, u. a. mit allen LKen und Städten in Weser-Ems sowie der Metropolregion Nordwest, zudem Förderer der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft in Oldenburg und umzu (cre8-Netzwerk, Filmfest, Kultursommer, Buchprojekte, World Press Ausstellung, Kulturbörse Nordwest, BBK, Illustratoren-Festivals u. a.)

Motivation zum Projekt:

„Es ist mir eine Herzensangelegenheit, mich privat für die Kultur unserer Heimatregion einzusetzen, mit der mich seit Langem auch meine berufliche Tätigkeit verbindet. Die Bewahrung und Förderung klassischen Kulturguts in Verbindung mit der Öffnung neuer kultureller Horizonte, die auch jungen Menschen neue Zugänge zu Theater und Oper eröffnen, ist eine äußerst reizvolle Aufgabe. Dies lässt nicht nur das Herz eines überzeugten Netzwerkers und Möglich-Machers höherschlagen, sondern es entfacht in enormem Ausmaß Stimulanz und Spirit.“

Artistic Background:

Active for 46 years as a non-professional guitarist (mainly classical); extensive ensemble and performance experience;  enthusiasm for opera and acting most of his life

Previous activities and projects:

Since 2019, supernumerary actor in various opera and drama productions at the Oldenburgisches Staatstheater; long-standing chairman of the 'Förderverein Haus des Hörens e. V.' at the HörZentrum Oldenburg (concerts, mostly classical ensembles); extensive knowledge regarding the management of cultural events (most recently, open-air classical garden concert in July 2020)

co-coordination and organization; cost and financial planning; acquisition of funding; networking in culture, administration, economy and marketing

Relationship to Oldenburg:

Roland Hentschel has lived only 15 years out of 60 years away from Oldenburg (for studies, MA in Scienece) and feels strongly rooted in the region. He is a former banker (Bremer Landesbank) and has been a full-time business promoter and deputy head in the city of Oldenburg for 25 years, as well as head of regional cooperation, including with all LKen and cities in Weser-Ems as well as the metropolitan region of the Northwest, and also promoter of the cultural and creative industries in Oldenburg and the surrounding area (cre8 network, Film Festival, Kultursommer, various book projects, World Press Exhibition, Kulturbörse Nordwest, BBK, illustrator festivals, etc.).

Motivation:

"It is a matter of the heart for me to commit myself privately to the culture of our home region, with which I have also been connected for a long time through my professional activities. The preservation and promotion of classical cultural assets in connection with the opening of new cultural horizons, which also open up new approaches to theater and opera for young people, is an extremely appealing task. This not only makes the heart of an experienced networker and possibility-maker beat faster, but it sparks stimulation and spirit to an enormous extent."
